Taiga Camp Thanks BHP Billiton

It was created in 2001 by the merger of Australia’s Broken Hill Proprietary Company (BHP) and the Anglo-Dutch Billiton plc. BHP Billiton employs over 40,000 people in 25 countries.

In Canada, BHP Billiton operates the EKATI Diamond Mine near Lac de Gras – 310 kilometres (193 miles) north-east of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
